Just amazed at the professional gingerbread house creations that were showcased over two days at the Cambridge Center Mall.

Matched with the wedding invitation with stripes and whimsical dots, each mini cake was boxed and tied with ribbon.

These mini cakes were Classic Vanilla with vanilla buttercream filling and Traditional Carrot Cake with vanilla cream cheese filling.

Lyndsey & Kyle designed this great rustic display for their cupcake display. A full cupcake tower was then set out for the dessert buffet.

Topper cake is Banana Chocolate Chip with a vanilla buttercream filling with cupcakes of Old Fashion Chocolate with peanut butter frosting and Classic Vanilla with peppermint frosting.

Delivered to the Maltese Club in London ~ what a beautiful venue.

Cake Decorating Classes

Well we are off and running with our cake decorating classes in London ~ enjoying a full day workshop on Gumpaste Flowers & Fondant yesterday at the Idleywld Inn.

Workshop covered details on working with fondant, covering a cake, decorating ideas, ruffles, borders and many tools of the trade to help. Created many gumpaste flowers including the rose, mum, carnation, daisy, and calla lily.

THANK YOU to the members who joined in on our inaugural workshop ~ a fun day was had by all including a great lunch on the porch of the Inn.

I totally forgot to take pictures of the group ~ next time !!

Iron Cupcake Earth challenge for JANUARY is WINTER WARM UP! We were asked to create a cupcake based on or inspired by ANYTHING you use to warm you up in the cold of winter.

I have been waiting for a chance to bake "cup" cakes in tea cups and thought that this would be the perfect opportunity. I chose a food network recipe make for baking in cups to ensure they would turn out well. VERY YUMMY! Topped with whipping cream, mini marshmallows and a square of dark chocolate.
